A Reckless Girl from Genoa who Set Out to Sea in Pursuit of Love.

When she was little, Miranda helped Pietro Conti hide from his creditors, and became infatuated with him in the process.

When Pietro innocently remarked that she would “be a good wife when she grows up,”Miranda mistook it for a marriage proposal and became determined to be his wife one day.

In 1525, Miranda decides that she is old enough for marriage and sets sail with her friend Tonio Rossi to find and marry Pietro.

However, it is not an easy task to find someone as elusive as Pietro, who could be anywhere in this wide, wide world. So Miranda enters into a contract with Juliano, an eccentric professor from Naples, to become a skilled Adventurer herself.

On her journey across the world as per Juliano’s request, Miranda finally reunites with Pietro. This is the moment she has been waiting for over the past three years, but to Pietro, she is just a former acquaintance of no particular importance. He instead scolds her for heading to the dangerous sea for that reason of hers, and then leaves.

With Miranda left in shock from Pietro’s reaction, what will become of these two adventurers?

18, Male. A Genoese navigator. The younger brother of Matilda, a barmaid in Genoa, Tonio was expelled from the merchant academy after an unfortunate incident. Since then, he has accompanied Miranda Verte on her voyage as her aide.

He makes sure Miranda’s headstrong nature doesn’t get the better of her, and his knowledge from the merchant academy has been of great help to the still inexperienced Miranda.

16, Female. A mysterious Aztec girl. When the conquistadors from España invaded her homeland, Cachuapa and her brother Tinocatl were two of the few survivors who barely managed to escape.

The conquistadors caught up with them once more in Veracruz, where Cachuapa evaded them once again thanks to Miranda Verte’s crew and joined Miranda on her adventure. Since then, she has aided Miranda greatly by providing clues about architectural sites in the New World and acting as the fleet’s translator.

Cachuapa hopes the tragedy plaguing the New World ends soon, so that she can go back to the time when she lived happily with her brother. But her dream seems to keep slipping further and further way...
