About Waters

In Uncharted Waters Origin, all waters feature a variety of environmental elements.

When you sail, you must consider many things that will affect your journey, such as Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Current, Current Speed, and the height of waves. You can go to [World Map] - Go to the bottom left - [Waters Requirement] in order to view the waters requirements of known sailing routes.

Some waters require a certain Company LV, Rowing, Seaworthiness, Ice Breaking, Momentum, etc. to enter.

If you enter such waters without preparation, you will be unable to proceed, or one of your vessels may suffer serious damage from various negative effects, ultimately making your Fleet unable to sail.

To ensure the safety of your journey, you must know if your Fleet meets the waters requirements of the path to your destination.

To meet such requirements, you must either build higher-grade ships, or equip better Parts to your ships.

Elements
Effect
Ice BreakingAnchor, RamThe ability of a ship to break through ice.
Some waters require high Ice Breaking stats.
Equip an anchor on each ship to increase the Fleet's average Ice Breaking stat to pass through such waters.
MomentumAnchor, RamThe ability of a ship to move through obstacles such as seaweed.
Some waters require high Momentum stats.
Equip an anchor on each ship to increase the Fleet's average Momentum stat to pass through such waters.
RowingShip Size

Rowing is a stat that only exists for ships with oars, like a Galley.

It refers to the ability of a ship to move forward by rowing.

The speed of ships with high Rowing stats increases with more crew.

If a high Rowing stat is required, form a Fleet of ships that have high Rowing stats, or equip Parts on each ship to increase the Fleet's average Rowing stat.

Seaworthiness

Anchor,

Armor

The ability of a ship to endure rogue waves.
A Fleet with a high average Seaworthiness stat can reduce the decrease in speed due to reverse currents.
Form a Fleet with large ships, or equip an anchor on each ship to increase the Seaworthiness stat to pass through such waters.

Vertical

Sail

Sail

Equipping a sail with a high Vertical Sail stat increases the ship's speed during Cross Tailwinds or Cross Headwinds while sailing, and improves the ship's speed during combat.

Horizontal

Sail

SailEquipping a sail with a high Horizontal Sail stat increases the ship's speed during Tailwinds or Cross Tailwinds while sailing, and improves the ship's speed during combat.
